How to use MCM Modified Clay Materials indoor with silicone
- make sure the surface is clean and dry
- take accurate measurements
- apply the silicone onto the back of the flexible tiles making sure to leave space from the sides so the silicone doesn’t burst out when sticking
- stick the flexible tiles in it’s place
- use a plastic roller and roll over the tile to get rid of any bumps
- you can use silicone directly on surfaces such as ceramic, wood, or glass
How to use MCM Modified Clay tiles Outdoor using adhesive
- make sure the substrate is clean and dry
- take accurate measurements
- apply the adhesive paste onto the back of the tiles and scrape it to create serrated patterns
- paste the flexible tile on the substrate from top to bottom and compact it with a clapper tool
- stick masking tape on the end of each tile where it meets another tile before paving the seams between the tiles
- use a plastic piping bag filled with caulk to fill the seams
- when the caulk is semi-dry, grout with suitable reinforcement bars
- remove masking tape then clean with a dry sponge
- for the outside corners, cover the sides with masking tape and fill the seams with the same caulk
- when the caulk is semi-dry use a spatula to remove the excess paste, remove masking tape and clean surface with dry sponge
- you’re done !
- This adhesive needs to be used on a treated substrate, meaning the walls should be cement
Note*
- Be cautious not to pollute the surface of the product during the installation process.
- Avoid folding the product in half prior to installation, to prevent cracks
