- Take precise measurements to determine the exact dimensions required
- Apply silicone to the back of the flexible tiles, maintaining a distance from the edges to prevent any overflow during installation.
- Securely place the flexible tiles in their intended positions
- Smooth the tiles using a plastic roller, eliminating any unevenness or imperfections
- Note that silicone can be directly applied to surfaces such as ceramic, wood, or glass.
How to use MCM Modified Clay tiles outdoor with adhesive
- Begin by ensuring that the substrate is clean and dry for optimal adhesion.
- Take accurate measurements to achieve a precise fit.
- Apply adhesive paste on the back of the flexible tiles, using a scraping motion to create serrated patterns.
- From top to bottom, paste the tiles onto the substrate, compacting them firmly using a clapper tool.
- Before paving the seams, place masking tape on the end of each tile where it meets another.
- Fill the seams using a plastic piping bag filled with caulk.
- Once the caulk is semi-dry, use suitable reinforcement bars to grout the seams.
- Remove the masking tape and cleanse the surface with a dry sponge.
- For outside corners, cover the sides with masking tape and fill the seams with the same caulk.
- After the caulk is semi-dry, utilize a spatula to remove any excess paste, remove the masking tape, and clean the surface with a dry sponge.
- Your installation is now complete!
