How to use Oracal 651 Permanent Surface Vinyl – 10 Colors

1. Place the vinyl in the plotter machine such as cricut or cameo and set the settings to 40 force and 12 or 13 speed.
2. Once your design is cut, apply transfer tape to transfer it from the vinyl to your desired product
3. Use a heat blower or heat press for a few seconds to secure the vinyl to the product
4. To print on a mug, after transferring your design, use a heat blower to heat the mug over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes.

How to print using a laser printer

1. Configure the label printing settings on the printer to suit vinyl printing.
2. Print the desired logo or image onto a vinyl sticker.
3. Apply a protective adhesive film to safeguard the printed vinyl.
4. Use a cutter plotter to trim the sticker edges around the logo, without removing the sticker yet.
5. Cover the sticker with a silicone sheet or foil, and run it through a thermal laminator at a temperature of about 175-180 degrees.
6. Once the lamination process is complete, gently remove the logo from the sticker, and your vinyl is now ready for use.

How to use oracle vinyl with a sublimation printer

1. Print your photo on thermal sublimation paper using a Sawgrass or Epson sublimation printer
2. Place plain white paper over the heat press to protect it
3. Place the printed sublimation paper on the vinyl and a silicone sheet on top inside the heat press
4. Set the temperature to 200 degrees and the time to 60-80 seconds. heat press pressure should be medium.
5. Remove the sublimation paper so that the image is printed on the vinyl
6. Paste the printed vinyl onto the object and insert it into the press again for 5 to 10 seconds to permanently fix it

Here are some important tips to keep in mind:

• For matte vinyl, use lamination paper (available in bookstores) and a laminator set to 160-170 degrees.
• Gold, silver, opal, and hologram glitter vinyl do not require lamination paper.
• When using a heat press to fix vinyl onto plastic or acrylic surfaces like cards, the plastic may become slightly tilted. Place a heavy object on the surface to return it to its original form.
• When printing on mugs, start by peeling off the sticker tip and attaching it to the cup. Slowly rotate the cup while spreading the sticker for a perfect application.
• Invert the design before cutting thermal vinyl.
